The reptile and rodent cages are all full off poop and smell bad. They also had very smelly dead “live” bugs like hornworms and roaches on the shelves. The reptiles also were not at the correct humidity for some of them.

Came right before closing. Found everything that we needed and signed up for the membership program, and got discounts right away. The young girl at the cash register was very nice and even engaged in a little chitchat. Store was clean and quiet when we came in.

The people at this store have ALWAYS been helpful and kind, however there is a new employee that is rude, not friendly at all and complains about being tired, etc… he’s a man with a reddish colored beard. I was very surprised when he rang up my $175 order because he was so nasty to me and other customers. He seemed as if the “world” was on his shoulders and I tried everything I knew to get him to crack a tiny smile to no avail. I just can not understand why they would hire and allow someone to treat your valued customers with such disregard.

The only saving grace for this Petco location is the grooming section. Whatever you're paying Katherine simply isn't enough. She's the only reason we continue to shop at the Battle Creek location. When shopping in the actual store, it's almost impossible to get assistance and the line takes too long to get through. Cashiers spend too much time on each customer. When I go in, I want to grab what I need, pay for it and get out. I dont want to hear the customer in front of me tell the only cashier in the building about her whole week in detail. She can move to the side for that. Have the conversation while ringing me up! If there's only one register open and more than 2 people in line, I usually just walk out. Ordering online is cheaper than ordering in the store most times because of sales anyway. But if I order curbside pickup, it should be brought out. I sat in my car for 25 minutes waiting for someone to bring out my order and when I went inside, they handed it to me like they were waiting for me to come in. What's going on at this location?!
