- MRMichaela Rae4 days ago3.0I’ve been coming to this petco as a regular for 9 years and have never had an issue with staff until today. I was there at about 11-11:15am on 2/27/26. I was waiting in line to pay for my dog’s food. There were two people behind the counter so I was waiting for one of them to let me know they’re ready to ring me up. I was waiting for quite a few minutes so I checked the time on my phone just to keep busy while waiting. I looked up a couple times and the guy behind the register was just standing there and so I nicely said “do I need to go to another register?” And with the snarkiest tone he says “no, I’m just waiting for you to get off your phone.” ??? I had my stuff set on the counter ready to check out and he wasn’t scanning it so I don’t know what he wanted me to do? I didn’t want to be rude so I waited for him to be ready. There was another staff member standing right next to him and he didn’t say anything either. I work customer service and you would think he would’ve said “are you all set?” And start ringing up the customer. After I paid he asked again, in a very snarky tone if I wanted a bag, I couldn’t hear him so I said “sorry what?” And he said “DO. YOU. WANT. A. BAG?” It blew my mind how blatantly rude he was.
