Dirty tanks with neglected fish, some of which had killed each other - presumably because they were species that shouldn't be housed together. The bettas were absolutely tragic. If the store selling these creatures can't even keep them in semi-humane conditions, how are they showing new owners how to take care of them on even a basic level? How do they sleep at night? The kitties seem to be well taken care of, I guess, but I wouldn't trust these people with living animals. I swear, as someone who grew up in the area: Ann Arbor considers itself to be this hole of human empathy, but this Petco is like a living symbol for what it actually felt like to live in that community.
