  Unsafe store! That showed no concern for a child attacked by an animal in their store with staff and owner present! Refused to write an incident report and call their manager! Will never visit there again. No stars was not an option for posting. The call back number below is not a direct number to speak with someone who can address my concerns. It’s a customer service number and I’m not doing any business especially after this experience!

  Went to purchase 4 cans of cat food with a $10 bill and was asked if I was "okay with loosing $1.60 because there is no cash in the store, and no manager". This is the second time I have not been able to use cash here, how are you in business??

  Whoever the guy was who worked Monday night, March 16th, was AWFUL. Me and my boyfriend wanted a 🐹 hamster. There was one lone female who was 75% off (the most affordable thing in that overpriced store), we wanted her. Well this character decides that if we don't buy the $150 aquarium then we can't get the hamster! I told him I had a free one coming to me in a few weeks. He looked as if he didn't believe me (I also believe we were profiled bc of our old farm clothes). He would NOT let me go with ANY other hamster cage than the one he wanted. So the hamster could have had a loving home with plenty of space.......but NO, just put it back in a WAYYYY too small cage, because somebody felt like being a prick. Make it make sense!?! He needs to go. Also Petco, just bc you can get away with such inflated prices, doesn't mean it's right.

  I always shop at the Eldersburg Petco for all of my pets needs. The staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. I usually don't buy my Tarantulas at pet stores, but when the Tliltocatl Vagans (Mexican Red Rump) was marked down I couldn't resist. Also knowing the employees there really care about the animals they have for sale. They were able to give me all the details on how they took care of this little girl. The young lady even let her crawl on her hand, so she could safely put her in a travel container. All the employees that were working that day even came by to say goodbye to the little girl. I got her home where she is doing great. I could tell they took very good care of her. I would highly recommend the Eldersburg Petco for all your pet's needs or even if your shopping for a new pet.
