The Vets handled with extreme care and made me feel at ease when giving my baby vaccinations. It was clear they loved animals.

They refused to administer vaccine for which I scheduled an appointment, because the vet wasn’t comfortable giving a preventative rabies booster (to add insult to injury their online portal reflects that I “missed” my appointment, not that I showed up and was turned away). No one really explained why the veterinarian was uncomfortable administering the vaccine, at the time I assumed it was because they didn’t want to be near an animal that had been near a rabid animal (never mind that rabies doesn’t become contagious for at least a week after exposure), but it could also have been that the vet had some objection to administering a rabies vaccine 7 months before my paperwork said it was due. Regardless, since I was specifically advised to get a rabies booster by someone at the MD Department of Natural Resources, my experience with Vetco left me feeling scared and frustrated that I couldn’t take the action a health authority had told me I needed to do to protect me & my pet. I’d look elsewhere if you want a vet who actually cares about animal health (I ended up going to a ShotVet at PetSmart instead).
