Communication Issues
Several reviews highlighted significant problems with communication, including miscommunication about appointments, lack of follow-up on lab results, and poor customer service over the phone.
Care Quality
Customers expressed mixed feelings about the quality of care, with some praising the compassion and thoroughness of the veterinarians, while others reported dissatisfaction with the handling of their pets and the emphasis on upselling services.
Long Wait Times

Pricing Concerns
There were frequent mentions of high costs for services and perceived pressure to purchase additional treatments or plans, which left some customers feeling that the business prioritized profit over pet care.

Thank you so much to Dr. Ibraheim, Dr. Chaudhry, Monisha, and TJ, who were so helpful with my pet and made my visit enjoyable despite the circumstances.
The male CSC at the front, however, has a very condescending tone. Rude and dismissive.

I got a new dog and I took him in for the first time on Thursday in which he got some vaccines and I was offered the option to get Benadryl in which I said yes to avoid any allergic reactions which is what he is having now. I even mentioned to the person that I spoke with that I had another appointment to go to and I did not want to be worried about him having any reactions while I was not at home . This hospital has cameras in the room in which they can go back to check that I did say yes to the pre-vaccine but it was not given to him. I spoke to someone yesterday on (2/28) and around 10am they told me to bring him in before 12pm. I was at work at the time because my dog’s vomiting has stopped and I work over an hour away from where I live and I had to go back and get the dog ready so I wasn’t going to make it there before 12. I called again today 03/01 and the lady on the phone was completely rude in which she even made a rude comment about having kids which has nothing to do with the situation or my reason for calling and she proceeded to tell me that I apparently refused treatment which it’s clear on the cameras i didn’t. I was there for over 2 hours in which they started explaining the plans to me before even seeing the dog because they care more about the money than the health of pets . I asked if I could bring him in to get seen and she said no when in my plan it
Clearly states “unlimited visits” in which I am also paying for. I know that the response I will get from all of this by the owner is a very basic apology which is not okay. To some of us our pets are our kids and there’s people that can’t have kids so the comment about kids by the person that picked up the phone was very offensive and uncalled for.

My baby Benny started a relationship with Banfield - Laurel about 2 years ago with Dr. Owen and the amazing receptionists. We have always had a positive experience, gentle practices with my baby, and always considering him and his mom's schedule and hardships. My baby was 16 and near end of life. During his decline, the staff was empathetic, followed-up when they said they would, and moved things around to accommodate my family's schedule. Sadly, my Benny passed peacefully at the hospital and the staff was completely available and gave us all the time we needed. For me, this was a great experience. All the ladies at the front desk are amazing, professional, and always called Benny - "baby" and I appreciated that as his mom. The ladies work hard and stay busy, so I didnt mind calling back if I was on hold for a while. No one was ever rude when they did answer. Yes, the prices are a bit high, but I called around and it is comparable if not a little less than area vets. Everything is high now-a-days, there is no going back. I recommend this hospital/staff/location for your pet(s). If you didn't like them before, give them another chance.

My dog acted like she didn’t have water all day when she got home. They also didn’t ask for her updated rabies when I dropped her off and then an hour after I left said I had 30 min to give them my rabies card or they would give her the vaccine. That’s their version of poor service and making up for the lack of attention to detail. If they didn’t have her updated rabies they should have never accepted her. It also took 30 min to “drop her off”. Do not recommend this Banfield. I have loved others.

We also offer the option of paying in full if you prefer.
