  Dr. O has been fantastic with our pup, Sage, thus far! Very attentive and proactive, taking the time to explain everything to me. Sam and the rest of the techs are fantastic with her, too. Thank you!!

  By far the best vet we’ve been to. We started coming here 5 years ago for our rabbits since they’re considered ‘exotic’ & our other vet for our cats wouldn’t see them. Dr. Orenstein was able to see us almost immediately. The entire staff was professional, compassionate, & truly dedicated to the well-being of my pet. From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed & well-informed. The level of expertise & the kindness shown by the doctor & the techs made a significant difference during our visit.

  I am extremely disappointed with my experience at Gambrills Veterinary Center. When I called on Sunday to schedule euthanasia for my cat, I was quoted $250. At my appointment on Tuesday, I was charged $466.13, nearly double the quoted price. If I knew this ahead of time I would not have gone to this clinic. In addition to this, I was left waiting in the waiting room for over an hour after my appointment, which was incredibly distressing given the nature of the appointment. When I called the next day to ask why the cost was so much higher and to try to find some sort of resolution, I was told it was because they had to use a gas chamber because my cat “would not allow them to put in an IV.” This is simply not true. My cat was calm and asleep, purring, weighed only 6 pounds, and was nearly 19 years old. They did not put hands on my cat or even attempt to do an IV before bringing the gas chamber in automatically, and they did not say that it cost extra. This experience felt deceptive and exploitative during an already emotional and vulnerable time. If prices can change so drastically, that should be clearly disclosed before services are performed. Compassion should include honesty and transparency, not surprise charges, long waits, and questionable explanations. I would not recommend this clinic.

  Everyone was so nice and professional. From the phone call to schedule, arrival and checking out. The price for services was very reasonable. I’m fairly new to the area and my Pomeranian has been having ear infections. His regular vet is 45 mins away as we have not switched yet. He woke up in a lot of pain.… so I called GVS (as they are so much closer), they were able to see him within a couple of hours of calling. Everyone was great with my pup, who is not a fan of anyone or anything.
