  I took my dog to Banfield Pet Hospital for a consultation and had a great experience. The staff and doctors were very kind, treated him gently, and explained everything clearly.

  WARNING PET LOVERS: we had an appointment for our sick male cat today. It’s always difficult for him to be in the car. For even a routine visit. Unfortunately, when we got there, we were informed by the front desk that our appointment had been canceled the day prior. The front desk attendant was more focused in trying to prove that we had received an email or phone call - In fact, we never received one - then trying to find a solution. It was like being stuck in an endless loop - repeatedly asking if she could come up with a solution-and the response being that we had received the email saying the appointment was canceled. She went as far to suggest that maybe the email had gone to our spam folder and we really should’ve checked that before coming. As an aside, we checked the spam folder and it wasn’t there. RECOMMENDATION: my wife called the Banfield location in Rockville and they’re able to squeeze us in immediately. The veterinarian and the nurse were incredibly professional and caring. It was such a positive experience. I highly recommend going to the Rockville location.

  I had a really disappointing experience at Benfield Gaithersburg. The manager was extremely rude and only seemed interested in selling their plans. They knew I had a first-time free exam coupon but didn’t mention it at checkout. When I called right after leaving, they said it was okay and told me to come back the next day so they could fix it. But when I went back, they completely denied it and said their system couldn’t be changed. It felt very dishonest and unprofessional. If I could, I’d give them zero stars. Definitely not going back.

  Please please read all advice to get benfield insurance very bad experience I had,so i adopted kitten and bought a pet insurance from there my kitten was 10 weeks old at that time so when she turn in 4 months I asked for Spayed appointment they said no it’s too early wait for 6 month so again I made that appointment in October they messed my appointment date and they blamed on us then they reschedule her appointment for December but I was so pissed on them then I made an appointment for Germantown location finally my cat got spayed but they said now she is 7 months old we have to pay $135 because she is now 7 months and she in heat so that will be extra work for them . First I was trying to make that appointment in 4 months they said no it’s too early they messed up my appointment,for that type of appointment you have too wait for 2 months so insurance is a trap every time they asking money .not good staff not good service they are just a trap .😡
