This location is extremely unprofessional when it comes to their grooming services. On two separate occasions I’ve had 8 AM grooming appointments and the groomer has not arrived until 30 minutes after the appointment time meaning myself and other customers had to stand outside, waiting for the groomer to show up to work. If your groomers aren’t going to arrive until 8:30/9 stop accepting appointments before then. Very unprofessional as a business

Great customer service. They cashier was great. She was so friendly and knowledgeable. The customers in the store were also super friendly and one person asked for a picture of my fur baby in his costume! The selection is the store and prices leave a lot to be desired, but I would definitely shop here again.

If I could give them 0 stars I would. I’m heartbroken and deeply disappointed by my experience at the Petco Grooming Salon - Store 1771. This first and last time visit, both of my dogs, Riley and Milo, came home traumatized — Milo was trembling, hiding, and crying in pain when touched, and Riley’s face had visible cuts and dried blood that were never mentioned. I was told Milo had been “aggressive” and even bit a groomer, which is completely out of character, and yet I was told to bring him back the next day. The lack of honesty, accountability, and communication from staff has left me questioning the care my dogs actually received. Our pets are family, and they deserve to be treated with compassion and safety — something I did not feel was shown here. Update: I wanted to provide an update - after my initial complaint, I was contacted by a district manager who said an investigation would take place. Two weeks passed without an update, and after I followed up, he gave me a call. During that conversation, he confirmed that the groomer had been dishonest about parts of the incident - including claiming she was bleeding and needed to go to the hospital for shots, which was not true. No incident report was ever filed, yet they still concluded that my dog, Milo, "did bite," though not seriously enough to document. While I truly appreciate the district manager's willingness to investigate and attempt to find a resolution, the information shared still feels incomplete and somewhat misleading, especially given the inconsistencies in the groomer's story. What really doesn't make sense to me is how all of this aligns -- the false information, the lack of documentation, and then my other dog, Riley, coming home with visible cuts and dried blood on his face. It's disappointing that, despite these concerning details, the blame continues to fall on my dog instead of acknowledging that something clearly went wrong during their grooming. This resulted in Milo not being allowed back for grooming. I was told Riley's facial injuries were likely due to "matting," but that explanation doesn't make it acceptable that he came home with multiple clear razor nicks and no one took the time to stop or communicate what happened. This entire experience has left me disheartened. I trusted Petco to care for my dogs with compassion and honesty, but instead, I've received inconsistent information, visible injuries, and no real accountability. I'll be taking my business elsewhere to an organization that truly prioritizes transparency and genuine care for animals.
