- SKSarah KNov 19, 20251.0Honestly I am beyond frustrated right now. Earlier today, I dropped my dog off for an 11a grooming appointment. I was told it would take 4-5 hours because they were short staffed and made it clear that I had to pick her up by 4p. Fast forward to 3p and I called to get an update. I was told she would not be ready by 4p because she ended up needing an additional shedding treatment. No one called in advance to confirm this and it was not mentioned at her intake. I asked to speak with the groomer, Caroline, to see what could be done because I had to leave by 4p to get my kids and was immediately met with hostility. She had a huge attitude and was just downright nasty, rude, and unsympathetic. I was trying to have a calm conversation and her attitude immediately escalated things and finally just told me to come get my dog and hung up. By the time I got there the store I was shaking I was so frustrated. The manager, Steve, did his best to diffuse the situation… however he said that when he spoke to Caroline she told him she had offered for me to come back at another time which was completely NOT TRUE! Completely unprofessional. I’ve been taking my dog to the Petco in Eldersburg for grooming since it opened and I have NEVER had any issues. This was awful. I highly recommend staying away from this location if you can avoid it. At the very least, avoid Caroline in grooming!
