Terrible. Appointment started off with doctor giving me a nasty attitude and talking down to me. Threatened legal issues in case my INDOOR cat gave her rabies. Said my cat had a tumor after which I asked the staff to show me where it is which they had a hard time doing and got annoyed at me for even asking. The doctor was trying to leave the appointment as soon as possible and acted like me asking her to show me the tumor was a crazy request after the assistant (who was the only person who was otherwise polite and respectful) failed to show it to me. I agreed to all the blood work, rabies shot, and the sample of the mass which came out to almost a 1000 dollars. The only thing that ended up getting done that day was the rabies shot. They stressed my cat out to the point where she peed on herself which has NEVER happened before. Not at another vet appointment, not during a bath, not during a 7 hour car ride when we were moving. Still wondering what they did to her to lead her to those levels of stress considering she was behaving herself very well. She was calm, friendly, and not at all stressed out when I brought her in. They then proceeded to prescribe her anxiety medication/muscle relaxers called gabapentin and said to come back another day after giving her meds for the actually NECESSARY procedures. When I was waiting in the room I was getting very skeptical and after reading the other reviews I realized I wasn’t the only one who’s had this type of experience at this place. After I informed the nurse(?) (who came in after the doctor left the appointment) of the fact that what they described has not happened to my cat ever, in any stressful situation, and that I saw the other reviews describing exactly what happened to us today she tried to gaslight me saying that “maybe the other vets just didn’t put it on the record” as if I was not there to pick up my cat every single time. My cat has never been given back to me wet after any shot, bloodwork, or anything. EVER. After I told her that she was getting visibly frustrated. We settled on me just getting the records and taking my cat elsewhere to figure out the rest because this place can not be trusted. After this was done the nurse(?) walked out damn near slamming the door. Very unpleasant experience, shady and rude staff, cold and unwelcoming atmosphere. I’m not normally one to complain but this was insane.

We love bond vet. It’s such a calming environment and they always take such good care of Hercules. He is a senior dog and they shower him with love. They have same day appointments and are always so thorough. They have a bunch of different locations but the Bethesda team is a group of beautiful humans!
