  They did a great job with my dog potato. Doodles can be tough but he came back super cute and with perfect floof sticks as legs

  I’m really disappointed with my experience here. When I walked in, the woman at the front had her own dog there. That wouldn’t normally be an issue, but the dog was growling at my dog when we arrived. Also, that dog peed on me as I was standing there checking in… When I came back to pick him up after his haircut, they opened the back door and my dog ran out toward me. As he was coming toward me, the dog that sits up front ran after him and started nipping/biting at him multiple times. This happened right in front of the staff, and nothing was done about it. I said, “Your dog is biting my dog, I would be careful,” and there was no response or effort to separate the dogs. That made me extremely uncomfortable. I’ve taken my dog to two other groomers and both have said he’s very well-behaved. He typically just sits calmly and lets the groomer do their job. He’s usually happy walking into grooming appointments. This was the first time I noticed he seemed uncomfortable right away walking in. One of the most important parts of this review is how bad his haircut turned out. He is a poodle with fluffy hair, and the cut looks extremely uneven with random spots all over him. It does not look clean, blended, or professionally done. It honestly looks botched. I specifically asked for more taken off around his face and tail, and that wasn’t done. He left looking messy and poorly groomed, which is very upsetting. When I asked how he did, I was told, “He did all right,” which didn’t inspire confidence, and based on the result, that makes sense. Between the safety concerns and the poor quality of the grooming, I won’t be returning. I hope they take safety and the quality of their work more seriously moving forward.

  While our dog has received great haircuts at Splash and Dash Groomerie & Boutique, reliability has been a consistent issue for us. Of the four appointments we’ve scheduled, two have been canceled the morning of the appointment. Most recently, we had an appointment and received a cancellation call 10 minutes before due to the groomer not feeling well—after we were already on our way and nearly there. If you live in Assembly Row and have a very flexible schedule, this may still be a convenient option. However, if you need dependable appointment times, it may be worth looking for a groomer with more consistent scheduling.
