  Nothing on the employees they are great but the store clearly doesn't understand small pet owners. The enrichment choices are subpar to say the very least. You can tell the company CEOs didn't ask small pet owners what they need because the enrichment isle is really pathetic. I have to get my supplies at PetSmart or online.

From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by staff — a small touch that immediately sets a positive tone and makes you feel like your visit matters. The assortment of pet supplies is genuinely impressive. Whether you're shopping for toys, bedding, grooming products, treats, or accessories, the selection covers a wide range of needs and price points. It's clear that Petco has invested in keeping their inventory well-stocked, and I left feeling like I had real options rather than just grabbing whatever was available. What stood out most was the staffing on the floor. There were plenty of team members available, which made a noticeable difference. I was assisted by Rhonda, who was an absolute standout — friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely enthusiastic about helping. Her positive attitude made the whole experience feel personal, and she went above and beyond to point me in the right direction. More associates like Rhonda make a real difference in the shopping experience. It was also evident that animal welfare is a priority here. The live animals on display appeared healthy, well-cared-for, and in clean, appropriate environments — always a good sign and something I personally appreciate when evaluating a pet store. One area for improvement: the store layout when you first enter can feel a bit disorienting. Pet food — both cat and dog — is located toward the back of the store, while supplies feel spread out across different sections without a clear flow. A more intuitive layout or better signage near the entrance would go a long way in helping shoppers navigate efficiently, especially first-timers. Overall, Petco in Shrewsbury is a solid choice for pet owners. Strong selection, attentive staff, and animals that are clearly well looked after. With some layout refinements, this location could easily be a five-star stop. I will continue to shop here and I do tell my family and friends about this location favorably.

  While the HomeoPet feline nasal drops are effective, delivery by Door dash is awful. Package was left outside our front door, where it's never se n, could be stolen, and will be rained on.

  Horrible excuse for a “pet store” management is rude and unhelpful with handling unprofessional employees. They’re so desperate to keep staff they don’t care about losing customers that spend $1000+ annually because of poor customer service.

  We come here a lot to get supplies for our bearded dragon, and usually have a great experience. However, today we had a very unpleasent interaction with one of the workers Stephanie. She was very rude and refused to bag crickets for us, and another couple. I had to make a second trip out to the store today to get someone who would actually get me the amount of crickets i needed.
