So we have been with Banfield for several years, they’re definitely the “cheapest” on paper. The charges though come during your visits, they add things they “deem necessary” and will not tell you about it. Which can seem normal but for example they gave our dog electrolytes that costed almost $100 to “energize” her and when we got home she was dying of thirst. They have also charged us for an exam $150 which was supposed to be done with our dog fasted, but did not inform us so they had us rerun the test and charged us even after saying they forgot to tell us about the fasting. I’ll even add another example out of the many, they ran a promotion that waived the onboarding fee of new pets added to the plans, we booked an appointment with their register and confirmed that the fees would be waived and when the appointment time came guess what…. The fees weren’t waived! So it went from a $240 visit to $700 haha yea im out of there just be wary before they do things to your pets as it will cost you

My dog Jack gets allergies and his ear gets very red and itchy. Dr. Hamberg was so good! He was also very informative. The girl that took all the information was wonderful! I was very pleased, Oh and it didn't break the bank!

Went at 9am for a rabies vaccination on my dog. It would have been a walk in walk out trip. i mentioned id love to have his claws trimmed and ears cleaned. they said that is a drop off pickup service so no problem, i leave my dog at 9:05 am and walk out. figuring theyll do the shot and then his nails and ears and ill be back in an hour or two. teo hours goes by and no call with an eta. i call 5 times between 11:30 and 1pm leaving a voicemail and asking when to get my dog. no one answers the phone. at 1:15pm I go in person to pickup my dog and am told in a very rude way i don't understand how their appointments work. They did not do a thing to my dog, no ravies vaccination (which was supposed to be an in-out thing) no nails trimmed, no ears cleaned. They tossed my dog in a crate and let him sit for 4 hours without mentioning a thing to me. Other Banfield Hospitals have been extremely polite, responsive, and helpful. The one we visit in orange county gives us an ETA, responds to voicemails and picks up the phone when i call. This place had the audacity to tell my I'm the problem. I told them to get my dog and walked out. They told me I'm not allowed back after holding my dog for 4 hours like I was the problem. I will never go back to this place again
