  My husband and myself went in today excited to get a small goldfish for our daughter. While in there a woman asked if we needed any assistance (which we did). I asked what small bowl we should start with and the woman rudely looked at me and told me Walmart has battery operated ones. ‘Shocked’ I looked at my partner and then the woman rudely says “goldfish grow to over a foot and a half and need a large tank , beta only require a small bowl”. I then said “I have never had a goldfish grow a foot”. She then looked at me and said “then you don’t know how to care for one “. Again, in shock I look at my partner and him and myself go and look at the ‘beta’. Well every single beta fish looked extremely pale in color and floating at the top with small bubbles gasping for air. Look, I know a goldfish is not going to be in a small tank for the entirety of their life, I have owned and had several fish in my lifetime. If the goldfish grew, I would be buying the goldfish, a large larger bowl or enclosure. This woman gave me such a sick feeling in my stomach, that I almost put down the $50 worth of cat products to not buy in the store and go somewhere else. All I was doing was looking for help and this woman was rude and sarcastic and absolute no help. I will not be going back to this location and I will instead go somewhere else.

  I've been to several Petco locations for dog grooming over the years and this is by far my favorite. The staff and incredibly kind and take great care of my dog, who is a nervous rescue.

  Everyone that works at Pembroke Petco are always friendly and helpful…especially Marie! I always appreciate her reminding me that I have rewards points to use before they expire. Groomers are great too and patient with my pups.
