  Had my dog groomed on Monday the 16th. Her name was Ali. Did not like how she was cut. She looks almost bald. I never asked for that. She hardly has hair on her head and tail was cut too much. Her face is so small she doesn’t look how she usually looks.

  Yes, everyone likes Chewy for their pet supplies but having that person to person experience Petco is still number one for all your pet needs. From vet services to grooming or just walking around looking at pet products and talking with other customers who have that love for animals.

  Will not bring my dog for grooming ever again… I had a gut feeling when I made appointment but wanted to give a chance. I have a pug and it took 3 hours employees are rude and seems like they don’t want the new business. A girl from the vet side was very sweet to ask if I was being helped and when I said no she told the groomer who replied very rudely to her that she would get to me, I should of walked out right then because it’s unprofessional to treat coworkers like that in front of customers. 1 day later my dog is Traumatized not sure what they did to her but my dogs anxiety is through the roof, I wanted to wait for her while she was being groomed but she insisted I leave cause it was gonna be a while,

  Really frustrating experience. I booked a grooming appointment in advance and planned my day around it, only to be told after I arrived that my dog’s heart murmur might be an issue. I was made to step aside and call my vet and wait while they figured out if she could be groomed, which ended up wasting about an hour of my time. My vet was surprised this was even necessary since her murmur is low-grade (grade 2), she’s on no medication, and has no restrictions for grooming. The vet sent a release form so that she could be groomed, but then I had to wait around for the manager to come review it. After that, I was told the note wasn’t good enough, and they decided to call my vet themselves anyway. Only after all of this did they finally say she could not be groomed. I usually groom my dog myself, but this was not just a regular groom. I booked this for an event I’m going to. Because of how this was handled, I now have an under-groomed dog when this could have been completely avoided if Petco had communicated this policy ahead of time. If I had known, I would have booked somewhere else. The lack of communication was completely unprofessional, and the way this was handled felt rude, disorganized, and extremely inconsiderate. This experience made it very clear they don’t respect their customers’ time. I will NOT be going back with my other dogs. My response back to the owners reply on my review: As I stated above, my dog is NOT on medication and was cleared by her vet to be groomed. And she is also not elderly.. In fact, the vets office had a good laugh that Petco declined to groom my dog. Again, I wasted an hour of my day to get a release form sent from my vet to Petco, but for what reason? To be turned down anyway? Also, what I’m most upset about is that there is no verbiage on the Petco site stating that dogs with xyz conditions cannot be groomed. If there had been I would have NEVER booked at Petco to begin with. Petco has no consideration for their customers and the way this was handled was extremely unprofessional.

  Went there to do a self wash for my dog. Area was dirty, smelled, lots of dog hair and no supplies - no towels, no shampoo etc. Really filthy. Turned around immediately and got refund. How can they charge $20 for this terrible service?
