I have been bringing my pets to Banfield for many, many years. They have never disappointed me in their care of our dog and cat. Reasonably priced, thorough, compassionate, kind. The people working at this office felt like a resource I could go to whenever I had an issue. I could be assured that I would hear all of my options and that the team would help make the right choice for my pet family. I also liked that the Banfield network has specialists - sometimes at other locations - so when needed I didn't necessarily have to leave the Banfield network to get specialty care for my pets.

I brought my dog in at 7am. Not once did they do a check up call. I had to walk in there around 545pm, when they close at 6pm to see what was going on. I originally made an appointment for a lump on her neck, the DOCTOR stated within the almost 12 hours she was there, she couldn’t find the lump. The second I sat down and spoke with the vet, I found the lump within 2 seconds. Let alone that issue, she has been back multiple times within the past month for allergy issues. She was left alone for the entire day without her cone, leading to her licking and chewing her paws in resulting to me picking her up with bloody scabbing paws. This is NOT how she came in. The doctor then insisted she prescribe inflammation medication…. The inflammation came from the lack of attention and awareness they gave my poor baby. They are careless and just want the easy way out.

I made the decision to bring my dog to Banfield because of the proximity to my home and the wellness plan. Until my dog got sick everything was fine. I was unable to get him in urgently, which supposedly optimum plan members took priority. On two separate occasions, they wanted to send him to specialists because they were unable to provide that care and on both of those occasions he was misdiagnosed. I ended up leaving and taking him to another vet for a second opinion And ultimately staying with that new practice. It was at that point that I tried to cancel the wellness plan And was told that I would owe the remainder of the balance for the year that it was actually a loan and it wasn’t a month-to-month plan That you could just cancel any time. Unfortunately, that was never explained upfront Otherwise, I probably would’ve never purchased it because in the long run, I probably would’ve saved money. Buyer beware Banfield is nothing more than a big corporation That does not care about the wellness of animals. They care about the money.
