- CCCynthia CostaApr 4, 20261.0I have been coming to the Avon Petco for years, I love the store and employees, with the exception of the “dog trainers”. I am not sure where this franchise gets these “trainers” from, but I do know there is NO way they are certified trainers. Every time I’m in there while they are “training”, they are just yelling, so loud you hear it all over the store, just yelling “no” and other things at the poor dogs. I am a certified dog trainer and have NEVER witnessed these people doing one correct thing. And the fact that these dog owners don’t see this is truly baffling. I would never recommend this Avon store for dog training, I will always give my honest opinion and the things I’ve witnessed in person, it’s just ripping customers off. This store, and all stores, should have verified certified trainers for this service as people are paying to have their babies trained correctly. When training correctly, there is never a reason to yell so loud that people can hear you at the other end of the store. The gentleman on the side of me today couldn’t believe how they were yelling, that only causes stress and anxiety for these already stressed out dogs. You people be ashamed at yourselves.

My dog is easily scared, but Cat is patient, gentle, pays close attention to detail, and just genuinely shows she cares by keeping her calm and acknowledging her feelings constantly. I couldn’t ask someone to treat her better or to do a better job with her grooming.
