Dr. Pate was thorough and made time to answer our questions about our new puppy. We will be staying with Vetco as everyone we had contact with was communicative and handled our puppy gently.

The veterinarian I used to go to retired and sent his clients to this place. I made an appointment; first appointment since switching veterinarian clinics. I showed up to the appointment and was told that the veterinarian clinic staff canceled my appointment because I did not "confirm" my appointment by texting "1" back to their system in the appointment reminder text message that they send out. No other doctor, dentist, etc I have ever been to cancels your appointment if you do not "confirm" the appointment after you make the appointment. The normal social and business practice is that making the appointment means I am coming to the appointment....unless I call the office to cancel or reschedule. To have the clinic staff just canceling people's appointments is bizarre, especially with no prior warning or notice after doing so. If you are going to have such a policy that cancels people's appointments, you need to warn and notify your customers of that. I left and will never return because the staff never told me over the phone of this policy when I made the appointment, the appointment reminder text message never stated that my appointment would be canceled if I did not reply "1" to confirm, and the staff never notified me through a text message or phone call afterwards that they had canceled the appointment I made. I had to show up to find out they had just thrown the appointment I made in the trash; so rude. The atmosphere was very "corporate" because it in fact is part of a corporation...a chain. I will be going to a locally-owned veterinarian clinic with a family atmosphere and an owner/veterinarian who is personally invested in their clinic.
