I booked the Short Hair Medium Bath Premium + Shed Release for my dog, which clearly includes nail trimming and paw cleanup. Before the appointment, I specifically told the stylist that my dog is anxious and especially scared of nail trimming. She assured me that it wouldn’t be a problem. When I picked her up, the only thing that looked done was a basic bath and brush-out. Her nails were still long, her paw pads were still furry and dry, and she was even a little damp. Why did I pay over $60 for a “premium” service just to get a bath and brush? The stylist only said she “wasn’t able to clip her nails because she was anxious,” but didn’t explain anything else. I later found out — only because I called the store myself — that my dog was so distressed she was hanging out of the bath and had multiple accidents from anxiety. I was never called during the hour and a half she was there, and none of this was disclosed when I picked her up. To make things worse, when I checked out, I received a confirmation for another grooming appointment next month with the same stylist — scheduled without my permission. I canceled immediately. If a dog is that stressed, the owner should be notified immediately so the appointment can be stopped. Instead, my dog stayed stressed for no reason, I paid full price for incomplete services, and I had to be the one to call and ask questions. Even then, no solution was offered. I would not recommend anyone to get their dog groomed here, unless you are in dire need. I don’t blame the junior stylist personally; it seemed like she didn’t have support from experienced staff. The real problem is the lack of communication, the lack of oversight, and booking services without consent. I hope management takes this seriously and improves transparency and supervision

Now all is good with the pups. Also, the other employees I have met and don't remember their names are very very nice and knowledgeable too. Only thing is that Petco needs fix their website and make it more user friendly. It's very slow.
