I have brought my current dog here for the 4 years she has been with us, and my previous dog for 2 years prior to that. I always appreciated the kindness of the groomers and the staff. They always allowed me to bring her earlier than scheduled and kept her until I got off work. I always brought them on Fridays, dropping off at 8am, even for 9 or 9:30am appointments, and picking up at 12:30 pm because I get off work at noon on Fridays. I would have rated 5 stars previously. In the last 6 to 8 months there has been a total grooming staff change and apparently management change. The "service" has drastically decreased. I was told this morning that I was not allowed to bring my pup in early and needed to pick her up asap once notified that she was ready, due to the groomers being overbooked bc of the holidays. I informed the staff that I leave work at noon and would be there asap, and would try to get off work early if necessary. I was never contacted when she was done, they contacted my wife, I specifically advised the staff member when I checked my dog in that my wife would be at work and unable to answer her phone. I advised her to contact me directly, she confirmed my cell phone number, confirmed with me that I recieve the text notifications of appointments and said that any notifications would come directly to me. They didnt... I received no information that my dog was ready, I left work early at 11:45pm and called to see if she was ready. The staff member said that she was and that a notification was sent out and requested i pick her up pick up asap. I advised I was on my way and would be there shortly. When I got there to pick up my dog, I was met by not a single grooming staff member. I was simply gestured to by a groomer inside the glass bubble insinuating with his/her hands "10 mins". I thought they were so busy it was imperative to get my dog asap, apparently that wasn't the case... Another patron came behind me, waiting to retrieve her dog and told me she had experienced the same thing. I waited at least 15 minutes before being spoken to by a groomer to retrieve my dog. There was a staff member that the other patron flagged down to question about retrieving our dogs, this staff member rudely said that it was not her job and that a groomer needed to see to this. My dog has come home and has since seemed traumatized, which is very unusual. She was like this the last time we brought her about 3 months ago, which, again, is not usual. This used to be a place I felt comfortable sending my dog too. I will no longer subject my dog or myself to this facility. I don't blame mosy of the groomers, I think the blame falls onto the new management. The lady i spoke to this morning was very polite and sweet. Although, Tierra (groomer), whom I did not encounter this morning, was extremely rude when I checked my dog in a few months ago. Can not unforget that total lack of friendliness and utter rudeness from her. Done with PETCO, even though my dog's next groom is supposed to be free with rewards, I'd rather pay to bring her somewhere else!

Two older women with bad customer service. One dismissive woman with gray hair who was extra nice to the older lady she was flirting with in front of me and judgy with me the from the moment I smiled at her. Then she sent me to a woman in the vet to get an Rx that i did not have to get at this same location two weeks ago (because i already have an Rx from my vet.) The lady in the vet had lots of snarky remarks because I was frustrated with the hassle including “sorry about your frustration and the laws.” I put back my other items ($200 of other items) besides the food I had to buy and won’t be a Petco customer anymore.
