  While my visit was pleasant; i have to say i was surprised. The cashier said hello, but while checking out she was on her phone scrolling, no eye contact, asked to enter my phone number while she continue to scroll, asked if I wanted to donate a treat to a shelter pet, I said yes,, all of this while scrolling on her phone. Finished my transaction while she was still on her phone...said thank you. I work on customer service and to me this is the number one cause of why businesses sometimes struggle. We need to teach these young employees that service is the key to a successful business. While the store can be messy, not enough supplies on the shelves, if as a customer, you feel welcome and treated with a friendly service...customers will always come back. Again, it was not a bad experience, she said hello and thank you, but lacked the respect a customer deserves while conducting a transaction.

  If I could give negative stars I would How do u have multiple things of live Dubai roaches but they all dead then when I ask u if they more in the back u don’t go check or call for someone to look. Customer service is a zero

  The staff is ignorant about their animals, i bought 3 beta fishes they were supposed to be females but one of them was a male in a female container, even when i asked them to verify they assured me that it was a female. This morning i woke up to find that one of them killed the other ones in the tank + my shrimps. Horrible experience

  This guy who was working in the fish department gave me 2 female and 1male betta fish ! Lied to me aboutthe 3rd one being female and I just woke up to my two other bettas dead! Hate this place! Don’t buy or listen to anything they say!

  Absolutely horrible experience at Petco in Kenner. The grooming staff was incredibly lazy and unwilling to help. I brought in my mini Goldendoodle for a facial trim, nail trim, and a bath because I have family in town and wanted him cleaned up. They told me they wanted to shave him down because his paws were a little matted. When I explained that I preferred to wait for his regular groomer to return to town for a full haircut and asked if they could simply proceed with the facial trim, bath, and nail trim, they refused to help at all. Instead of trying to detangle his paws during the bath or offering any reasonable solution, they basically said they didn’t have the time or desire to deal with it. I was honestly disgusted by the lack of effort and customer service. Thankfully, I went down the street to Top Dog, and they immediately helped us. They were kind, professional, and made my baby boy look gorgeous. The difference in service was night and day. I will never bring my dog back to Petco in Kenner again and would strongly recommend anyone looking for grooming services to go somewhere that actually cares about their customers and their pets.
