  Absolutely worse haircut ever! Shaved my golden-bernadoodle down to nothing, ears, legs, head, and entire body… all gone. Cut one of her eyelashes completely off after I specifically requested they not be touched. When I asked the employee acted shocked like she had no idea that she cut it off…. The hair cut isn’t even and I could have done this same cut myself. My poor dog looks like someone cut her with their eyes closed. I could have done better myself at home and saved $95. Whole reason to bring her to a professional is bc she is supposed to look better than if I did it myself. The trick is they make you pay and top before you see your baby… feel like we got had for sure! If I could give negative stars I definitely would!

  For the first 6 months after moving to Covington, we had difficulty finding a good grooming service for our labradoodle. When we found Sarah at PETCO, we felt that’s the right place. Sarah is great, and the experience is just fantastic.

  Brought my girl to get her nails trimmed she did one nail to short but did not tell me she did. I found out yesterday she was limping today is worse.

  On February 7, 2026, my Goldendoodle was groomed by Hailey at the Petco on 7303 Pinnacle Pkwy in Covington. He has received the same haircut for years. She confirmed I wanted the same length, yet he was completely shaved down, including his tail and eyelashes. The cut was uneven and very poorly done. Even more concerning, his ear was injured during the grooming and this was never disclosed to me at pickup. The injury worsened and required veterinary treatment and multiple prescriptions. When I first contacted the store, the manager on duty, Dwayne, was dismissive and unhelpful. He told me I had signed the grooming agreement and refused to offer any resolution. When I returned to the store to pick up my refund, he continued to be rude and difficult. In contrast, Richard (another manager) was very kind, professional, and ultimately processed the refund. The haircut was disappointing, but the undisclosed ear injury and the way this situation was handled are far more concerning. Pet owners trust groomers with their animals’ safety. That trust was not honored here.
