- DGDon GNov 1, 20255.0I bought a black and white aberrant CA Kingsnake a week ago from Petco Louisville Townfair at 1963 S Hurstbourne Pkwy in Louisville, KY. I have never owned a snake or reptile, and the staff was very helpful along the way. I watched a lot of videos online, but I also spent a lot of time in the store asking questions for several weeks as I was setting up my 40 gallon enclosure. The staff was always very helpful and took the time to answer my questions in preparation for buying my snake. I want to acknowledge and thank (forgive me if my spelling is off) Rachel, Brennen, Nate, and Anastasia. They were all awesome and took the time to answer questions regardless if I was buying anything that day or not. However, I did buy the snake and a lot of accessories from Petco, so I am going to include a picture of “Pongo” and his set up. He is doing well and eating great. Thanks for everyone’s help! You guys are the best!

- MJMatt JohnsonSep 30, 20251.0very poor marine fish care at this location. The salt water tanks are in horrible shape and overran with diatoms / other issues. The coral are either dead or hanging on for dear life, the anemones don't have correct lighting at all, actively bleaching / melting. Most tanks have very poor surface agitation = low O2. Not sure if it's lack of training or staffing, but something needs to be done. Fresh water tanks seemed to be fine, salt just needs way more weekly maintenance or auto systems put in place if employees can't maintain it. Surely a corporation as big as Petco can afford a Hydros or Neptune system, auto water changes, sump, skimmer and proper lighting for marine tanks.
