Audubon Animal Hospital has been caring for cherished pets in the Louisville area for more than 60 years. The original hospital was opened in 1959 on Crittenden Drive by Dr. James R. Grace (known by his long-term clients as Dr. Bob). Dr. Bob grew up in the Schnitzelberg-area, attended St. Xavier High School, University of Louisville, and University of Kentucky, and received his Veterinary degree from Auburn University. He wanted to work in the neighborhood he grew up in, and that is where the practice began.

I have had dogs for 40+ years and have used Audubon since it opened. All my dogs have lived very long healthy lives. The staff is courteous, friendly, and honest. My grown children used them until they purchased their own homes and wanted to find a vet closer to their new zip codes. Audubon Animal Medical Center and it's sister site, Cherokee, are some of the finest veterinarian offices around.
