After three separate grooming appointments with a competitor that were repeatedly canceled for various reasons, I decided it was time to take the drive and book with Petco in Crescent Springs and I’m so glad I did. First, I absolutely love that Petco allows customers to book multiple pets in a single appointment instead of requiring separate bookings. I scheduled my two dogs for a 2:30 appointment with Kristen D, and about an hour later she personally called to let me know she could take them earlier. That small gesture immediately stood out as thoughtful, customer-focused service. When I arrived, I was greeted promptly, my dogs were checked in, and they were taken back in under three minutes. Kristen let me know they’d be finished in about 45 minutes, which honestly shocked me because
in the past, grooming at the other big competitor was always a stressful, hours-long ordeal.
True to her word, I returned in 45 minutes to find both dogs looking fantastic: nails trimmed and filed, coats clean and well-groomed, and clearly comfortable. The other young woman working alongside Kristen D was equally friendly and efficient.
Another aspect that impressed me most was that she allowed me to sign and pay before bringing my dogs out. It may seem like a small detail, but anyone who’s ever tried to juggle two leashes, a handbag, and paperwork at the same time knows how much that matters. It’s those little details that can truly make or break a customer experience. Even though I live in Alexandria and have closer grooming options, after my experience at this Petco with Kristen D and her coworker on December 19, I won’t be going anywhere else. Since moving to Kentucky a few years ago, grooming has always been a stressful four-hour ordeal until now. I’ll be recommending the Petco Grooming Salon in Crescent Springs to all my family, friends, and colleagues without hesitation.
