- AWAmanda WelchDec 27, 20251.0I took my Yorkie in there yesterday for a bath and nail trim I spoke with a Voya and a Kendall, not sure which was who but the lady with the glasses came off with a bad vibe once I got there saying that she couldn't do anything if he doesn't cooperate with her I did advise her that he does have bad anxiety so therefore she would have to take a more time with him and that he doesn't like for his paws to be touched before I could finish what I was saying she came back at me with "Well we just might not can do his nails if he doesn't like to them to be touched," I simply replied back that's fine but if you would work with him and be patience with him then he might but if not then that's fine. The younger lady without the glasses got the lease instead of getting acquaintance with him she put the leash around his neck and told me to put him down she then began to drag my fur baby across the floor I told her twice you have to pick him up she grabbed him up and took off. I started to say give me my fur baby back and I would take my business elsewhere but with us living out of town and nowhere else was available I didn't do that. His appointment was at 3:15pm I had him there 10 minutes before his appointment not even 45 minutes later they were calling me telling me that they refused service and will not be serving me anymore because he wasn't cooperating with them that he was being very aggressive with them. I went and picked him up. Even if it doesn't matter because they could probably careless anyway that it was always petco that we have problems with but every since everywhere was booked I would give them a second chance "BIG MISTAKE" but I guaranteed that it will never happen again because I will never step a foot in Topeka petco again . So please take your fur babies to a different groomer because they do not care about your babies.

- CSCaleb SolidayDec 21, 20251.0Went to get our dog groomed for the first time here and booked the appointment a week and half before. Was only told to have documentation of rabies vaccination and even got a reminder text. Went to check in for the appointment, from the start new fees were going to get added on based on dematting even though they were going to shave her down anyways (annoying… but you know what fair) and I appreciate the groomer for doing that and communicating ahead of time rather than be surprised by the bill when I pick my dog up. However, she then asks about medication my dog is on, and I said anti anxiety. Without hesitation the groomer asks which one and I simply said trazadone and she informs me corporate policy wont let them groom her today and that she’ll have to wait 24 hours and not appointments are open till after the holidays. At this point I was clearly frustrated because this was not something I was aware of and they clearly know how to communicate before an appointment of what to be aware of. I had quickly call my partner to see what to do, and when I came back the groomer had already canceled the appointment and didn’t even offer to reschedule, instead that I could call back. As a previous reviewer said, the groomers are very glad to cancel appointments. I called corporate, they said they couldn’t find anything in the terms and conditions that said that was a policy and apologized for the store not communicating. It’s clear the groomers feel overbooked and will find every way to get your appointment cancelled. Now scrambling to find another groomer.
