- GBGage BockelmanJan 1, 20261.0I recently got a hamster from this petco.Two days later the one of its eyes was bulging.I waited about a day or two to bring it in.When I brought it in they said it was under their 30 day return policy so they would cover a vet visit.When they called they said they found lung issues with it.A very nice vet technician said if the success rate of the surgery was good she would cover it but she would keep the hamster.I decided to let her take it.A kind employee here named Patch suggested to get a new hamster.I went in today and another employee got someone from the back.She said that they weren’t selling hamsters right now.She said it’s other eye started bulging too.She tried to say it was my fault that it had lung issues and a two bulging eyes.It wasnt.So I took my business to PetSmart and they were very kind and helpful.I will never go to petco again. Thank you to all of the kind employees Patch Zeus and many more. To the rude employee that tried to say it was my fault,thank you for helping me find out petsmart treats their animals better and are kind to employees.❤️

He is extremely knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely cares about helping customers make the right choices. On top of that, he has a great personality and a strong, professional mindset. Zach mentioned he’s working his way toward becoming a regional manager, and honestly, I can see it—he has the leadership, attitude, and expertise for it. Petco is lucky to have him, and he truly deserves a raise. I really hope he reaches that goal because he would be an incredible regional manager!
