- ASAngelica StormsFeb 12, 20262.0There needs to be a warning sign above the aquatic plants saying they can carry bladder snails that quickly take over the tank in less than a month. Cause ya. I put a plant from here in my betas tank and there was nothing I could do to stop them from taking over since they borrowed into the substrate. Too late for my tank, had to completely restart my tank. But not for yours Bladder snails are hermaphrodites, and reproduce without another snail. ONE snail can populate your entire tank!!!!! ALWAYS do a Seltzer bath on ALL plants purchased for at 12 hours to kill snail eggs. OR Bleach dip OR Both to be on the safe side Assassin snails are a good option but they can also take over a tank and my tank had WAY too many for one assassin snail, and since it's a 5 gallon not much I could do. I killed over 100 bladder snails in less than 24 hours.

The kids love going and seeing all the animals, and so do I, mainly because the staff really do care at this location and are super knowledgeable on husbandry. I have never had a sick fish or a bad frozen rat from this location, and the prices are very fair. They have great sales specials and their in-store pickup is always fast and friendly. It's always fun to come in and see the puppy/dog training classes.
