This is a long story, but especially important for anyone with an older pet. I made an appointment for my 16yr old Chihuahua back in October 2025 because she wasn't wanting to eat over the weekend. I was grateful that they got me in quickly so I didn't have to pay a higher ER cost. During the exam the dr barely spoke to me about my pet. They drew blood and obtained a urine sample to run, sent us home with a can of rx food and some antinausea medication. The labs came back the next morning and I received a call from the dr. He talked at me for 5 minutes about how poor the prognosis of my dog was and that she is in severe pain and has been for a long time. Told me her labs showed she is in severe liver failure and slight kidney failure and there is nothing that can be done other than to put her on hospice and offered to have a time available for me to bring her in the next morning for euthanasia and provided me with the Lap of Love information. I was in shock, I know she is old and I am not delusional that she will be around forever, but this did not seem like a life or death situation to me. After calming down, I emailed asking for them to email me the lab results because this would be the first time that I've ever had to make this type of decision and I would like to see the lab numbers to help me make that decision. I almost immediately received a call from the dr telling me that he was in no way suggesting that I euthanize my dog, but that if I wanted to they would make time. Again, talked at me telling me that there's no "magic pill" he could prescribe to make this situation better and I need to evaluate her quality of life. He seemed defensive and told me that he could not email me the lab results that I need to pick up a physical copy. He also said in the call that I could take the results and my pet to another dr for a second opinion. I was barely able to even speak on these calls so I don't feel there was any possible way that he could have felt that I was being rude to him to where he needed to be so defensive. ANYWAY! I did get a second opinion and an ultrasound. We discovered that she had gall stones, so she has been on denamarin and ursodiol since November 2025. We've been monitoring her values and they have drastically dropped almost back to normal for a dog her age. I also asked to be referred to a specialty internal medicine dr in March 2026 for another more in depth ultrasound and they discovered that the ursodiol is doing it's job because her gall stones have dissolved. The internal medicine dr thinks this may be due to her diet so we are transitioning her to a rx diet. I hope this helps someone! Please advocate for your pets and do not hesitate to get a second or even third opinion if you feel you need to and can financially do it.

Brought my dog here for years and expressed my concerns about pit/lab mix having cushings disease the Dr laughed and brushed me off for years making me pay high vet bills just to tell me my dog was old and there was nothing to do for him. Years later I get him to finally test him cost me $700 plus dollars get a call weeks later saying his levels are nothing to worry about. Eventually we finally switch vets and within first visit at new vet they say has he ever been tested for cushings ?! And now at 10 years old my dog is having to get put down when this could all have been addressed years prior if I didn’t take him to this bird brain of a vet. This guy will talk down on you make you dogs problems seem minimal and then always seems like his solution to everything is put the dog down. Even made comments about if my dog wasn’t wearing a IU collar he might be able to breathe. Which was funny considering Purdue Veterinary degree hanging up for all to see in the office yet couldn’t properly diagnose something that another vet noticed in minutes. This dude is a clown and he doesn’t give a crap about your pets. Do better for your pet and don’t allow this guys near your beloved animals!!!

The vet was very rude from the time I walked in the exam room rushed through the exam as he told me my Neopaliton mastiff was a breed that people made and had nothing but problems I brought him in to have his paw looked at because I believed it was sprained he pulled pushed and poked then sent what I can only assume was a teenage apprentice to tell me what the cost of what he prescribed a $350 prescription but didn't or couldn't tell me the names of this prescription so when I said I'll check with my breeder and finally come to the decision to proceed he comes back in and thinks he's gonna scold me about being questioned 🤣🤣 after his 10 minute rant I reluctantly paid for his useless exam fee and said no thanks buddy keep you meds and your worthless option I'll take a hard pass on this .wouldn't take any animal let alone one I care about to this hole in the wall sorry excuse for a veteran office proceeded at your own risk .

Doctor is rude and condescending. Been going here for a while and it's time to move on. The staff appear caring but I'm beginning to think it's just all smoke and mirrors.
