  The employee was very LOUD and rude. She told me very loudly to buy the enclosure they sell which is NOT recommended for the tarantula I wanted to purchase.

  DO NOT GO I took my dog to Petco Highland for grooming, and the experience was absolutely awful. The day after her appointment, she would not let me touch her back and was clearly in a lot of pain. She became lethargic and uncomfortable, so I had to take her to the vet. The vet diagnosed her with post-grooming furunculosis, a painful, deep bacterial skin infection. I was told this condition is caused by skin trauma from aggressive brushing or stripping, combined with contaminated grooming shampoos and tools, commonly involving Pseudomonas aeruginosa. My dog developed painful red bumps/boils, had to be shaved, placed in a cone, and required medication and follow-up care. I spent over $500 in vet bills because of this. I understand that a waiver is signed for grooming services; however, the complete lack of accountability and communication afterward was unacceptable. I called the store twice to report what happened and was told the manager would be informed and that I would receive a call back. That never happened. This was a traumatic and painful experience for my dog, and the way it was handled afterward was extremely disappointing. Save yourself the stress, heartbreak, and vet bills. Go to PetSmart instead.
