  Placed an online order, received an email that the item was out of stock. Went into the store, walked over to the aisle and found them fully stocked. 🤷🏾‍♂️

  This Petco location had it's chance to prevent this 1 star review, in fact, it had 2 chances. I made two separate phone calls to corporate to report a terrible grooming experience, and both times they said the district manager would get back to me ASAP, but both times, nothing. In fact, the second time I called, they didn't even have a record of the first case! Pretty much I took my dog for a grooming and bath at the regular Petco we use (they are great, NOT this skokie store though), and three days later, the dog got skunked. This happens, so whatever, I thought maybe I'll just take her to the quickest available bath and de-skunking treatment. Took her to Skokie, explained she only needed a bath, and deskunking shampoo, and to be dried off. When I dropped her off, the reception was unfriendly, confused, and all I heard was an employee complaining that they "shouldn't even be here because it's my day off." Anyways, I drop of my dog, because I figure, how bad can they be, its just a bath? I pick her up, she still smells like skunk, she's clearly dehydrated and needed more water, and just seemed off. I looked at the bill, and they charged me for a full grooming, but I figured "hey, this place is a nightmare, I'll just call corporate later and have them fix this." I get home, walk the puppy, and she rolls over on her back, I see a 8-10 inch portion of her stomach shaved off for who knows what reason? I assume a small mat was there and the groomer was lazy as can be and just shaved it all? Anyways, this place really needs a store audit and some training on how to smile and listen to instruction. Hoping this review will FINALLY get someone to call or email me back, as their HQ is ghosting me like an ex- girlfriend.

  This Petco location seems to always be well supplied with plenty of stock of whatever products I am looking for.I usually place my order on- line & on occasion will require the actual checking as to whether the store actually has it on the shelf.The young gentleman I got on the phone was kind enough to check the shelf for the product a cat liter but flatly refused to put any on the side for me insisting I order on- line.When I got there I realized the cat liter came in a smaller bag and therefore didn't want my on- line.A very nice but not so knowledgeable lady cashier allegedly cancelled the order.I asked for confirmation of the order being cancelled and my credit card credited.She had to checked with the not do helpful unmotivated guy who answered the phone who told me the email takes a while to get and that I probably wasn't charged for it anyway.If I had any questions I should call Petco customer service.Well it's been 2 days no cancellation confirmation email & yes I was charged for it.So later today I will need to take time out of my life call Petco customer service for something that should have been handled while I was at the store.

  I shop here for my pet Syrian hamster. There's a wide selection of toys and treats. I prefer this store over Petsmart. I would highly recommend this location for all your pet's needs.
