I scheduled a grooming appointment for my 5-pound Yorkie on Monday, December 15th at 10:00 a.m. That morning, they canceled my appointment after I had already taken time off work. They rescheduled me for the following day, Tuesday, which required me to take yet another day off. When I arrived for the rescheduled appointment, only one employee was working and told me it would be a few minutes before they could check me in. That was fine. Another employee then came in, went behind the desk, and immediately gave off the impression that she didn’t want to be there. During check-in, I was very clear about what I wanted: only a half-inch trim, with her face slightly shorter and shaped, as she had a bit of a beard growing. I’ve been growing my dog’s coat out for eight months. When asked about add-ons, I declined and said I only wanted a bath, haircut, and nail trim. I was then told my dog “looked a little matted,” which is completely untrue. I bathe, condition, and blow out her coat weekly. I made it clear I did not want her shaved and reiterated that I wanted a half-inch trim. I was told a conditioning treatment (an additional charge) would likely be required to do a scissor cut, so I agreed. When I returned to pick her up, I was shocked. My dog had been shaved down to the skin. I was charged $98, including the conditioning treatment, for a result that was the complete opposite of what I explicitly requested. It felt lazy, careless, and disrespectful of my instructions. I paid, grabbed my dog, and left. I will never return. Before and after pictures.
