Every time we come to see Amanda she greets minnie with care, she is very patient with minnie cause she can be trouble but I know minnie is in good hands. Minnie is never scared to go . Minnie always looks clean and happy when I pick her up. I live in McHenry so it’s worth the drive to see Amanda. I wouldn’t trust anyone else with Minnie. Highly recommend Amanda. We love her.

Snakes have filthy water, geckos sleeping next to poop and water that hasn’t been changed in days. I asked the cashier how often they clean the reptile tanks and she said once a week… how is this acceptable?? . She said the reptile manager has been slacking at that —-this is NO excuse! The whole store is just as guilty as the manager for not taking care of these animals. YOU ARE A PET STORE THAT SHOULD BE TAKING CARE OF THE ANIMALS. POINT BLANK PERIOD. I called corporate and will be following up with this. Last time I will be doing business with PETCO.
- THTiesha HinesOct 28, 20251.0Do not waste your money buying any pets at this location. This is the 3rd time that they have given me an infected animal. 2 birds and a guinea pig. I bought a guinea pig for my son as a birthday gift in August. I noticed the guinea pigs skin was flaky and he had a couple sores but they cleared up. Come to find out he has a ringworm infection which he infected me on the back of my neck. He’s showing the same symptoms and he’s scratching really bad. I just found out. I don’t have an appetite I feel worst than having a viral infection. I’m in shock really.
