  I’m really disappointed with our recent experience at Vetco in North Riverside. My mother and I brought her cat, who has diabetes, in for a follow-up appointment to check glucose levels. My mom had recently undergone hip replacement surgery and was in recovery, which made it difficult for her to return within the requested two-week window. She communicated this to the staff ahead of time when she brought the cat the first time , and they seemed to understand. She then scheduled the soonest appointment she could make, which was this past Saturday. When we arrived, the vet she originally saw was not there. The technician gathered information, but then informed us that, per the manager, they would not be able to perform the blood test because too much time had passed since the last visit. The vet who was on-site never came out to speak with us or even examine the cat. It ended up being a completely wasted trip. To make matters worse, my mom explained that the cat was running low on insulin. The manager said he would send in a prescription to the pharmacy, but that was never done. What stands out most is the lack of empathy. My mother was recovering from major surgery, we made the effort to come in, and no one seemed to care that we left without any help. More importantly, there didn’t seem to be much concern for a diabetic cat that actually needed care. Based on this experience, I would strongly reconsider bringing my pets here in the future.

  Haha DO NOT CALL THESE PEOPLE THERE CRAZY They want 450 dollars for little tiny boy dog and I literally paid 150 for my 95 pound pit that needed emergency surgery and another kicker she had to get off the phone twice to ask a price!! That’s what I get for clicking on sponsored links lol be careful yall!!

  The staff is great. Vet is knowledgeable and answered all my questions. First time here with a puppy and continued to come in for following shots. I recommend coming here.
