  candy is great in the grooming department! she has so much patience with my doggie but the rest of the grooming staff is disappointing and rude.

  For dog nail trimming: they are convenient to me, good price, and do a good job - IF they have grooming staff in the late afternoon (like 4:00 p.m. or later). Once again I failed to call ahead and showed up just to drive away because they didn't have afternoon staff.

  Serena was so incredibly knowledgeable, helpful, and kind! We got a hamster for our son and she helped us get everything we needed. She also helped us with items we needed for our turtles! Camilla was also wonderful! She checked us out and gave us great information. I apologize if I misspelled their names but I really wanted to highlight their amazing customer care! Thank you!!

  Manager with the green ink sleeves berated me in front of other customers because of a dead fish return.. The manager was interogating me about tank size, water quality, etc. I had answered these questions with another sales associate the previous day when I purchased the fish. I had noted that one of the fish that died had a malformed operculum, a classic sign of inbreeding in fish. I was told upon initial purchase that any fish that died could be returned. " I need to know what aquariums you have" quickly went to "I do not have to sell you a fish, I am worried the fish will be abused". Then it dawned on me. I bought a red tail shark from this store about 1 1/2 years ago. I remarked, "I hope he likes his new tank." The reply by the sales associate sums it up perfectly, "the fish will identify as it feels." What?????? If you are a cis white male, you will not be treated well. Discrimination based on sexual orientation is criminal. I did not need the admonishment in front of other customers. Passive aggressive does not quite sum up this horrible experience. And do not bother calling the offshore (Filipino) corporate help line. Dee from the islands was nice enough, but no resolution or communication from Petco has occurred. Avoid this Petco. Unless you like being degraded in public. I have 50 years+ of keeping aquariums. I used to breed angelfish. I have a college degree in Biology minoring in zoology. I just don't like being lectured on the humane treatment of pet fish when Petco sells the color injected fish. That practice is barbaric. The manager is a tyrant who disrespects customers on a regular basis judging from past reviews. Seems like a problem with the Petco culture of customer service. Wonder what the mission statement is at Petco corporation. It certainly is not the customer is always right.
