Took my cat in for his yearly check up + two vaccinations and it was definitely a 5 star experience! The building itself is really nice and clean. They had some really cute fall/Halloween decorations too! The decorations aren't necessarily super relevant to the quality of service itself but I feel like it sends the message that the staff care about where they work. The ladies working the desk, the nurse (if that's what they're called for pets?), and the vet were all friendly and helpful. This was my first time taking a pet to the vet so I don't have any other experiences to make any comparisons to other services, but to me it seemed like a thorough yet not overly time-consuming examination. They did a good job with his vaccines too- it seemed like my cat wasn't bothered by getting poked at all. I also love that everyone double checked to make sure they said my cat's name right instead of just assuming and going with their best guess. All around awesome experience, thank you!

I've never been to any other vet in Macomb, and thankfully never had a reason to seek out another vet. I boarded my dog there and he received a high level of care on two different occasions. This is why I put 4 stars instead of 5:
Just like other kennels, they require a certain set of vaccinations for your dog to board there. I got an exam done as well as the first part of the two part series vaccination. A couple of months later, I went back for part 2 of the vaccine and was slapped with another exam fee. Upon brining it up to the staff, they said if you bring your dog in for anything, they are hitting you up for an exam fee. I don't necessarily agree with that. Even if it's common practice in the industry doesn't make it right. The first dose of the vaccine was administered by Dr. Loop and went well. The second dose was administered by a tech and caused the dog to yelp. The dog limped around for two days so I don't believe the second shot was administered correctly.
Overall, I would recommend this place and I believe they have a good track record of providing high quality veternarian care in Macomb.

The only animal clinic in town that addresses your needs when you walk in. Had to put it down but at least they addressed the issue as soon as I walked in.
Sad day but thank you!!!

They were SO caring and gentle with my cat when they had to put her to sleep. They even put her in a cardboard casket so I could bury her. She looked so peaceful and like she was just asleep. They were so kind to me as I grieved. Now a week later they are making sure her sister is ok since Snickers died of heredity issues. Dr. Lotz is patient and knowledgeable as are his staff. Their new facility is so beautiful and inviting. Even with this covid stuff I don't worry while I am there.

This guy (Lotz) should NOT have a license. Patients passing and not contacting their owners in a even remotely urgent fashion (5-6hours++++) improper practices, and poor ethics. I’m not one to write reviews but I can’t not expose these facts and have people bring their pets in to his business for care. My wife works in the animal field and it drove her to leave his clinic. Seriously your animals deserve better care.
