  My 12 year old dog has eaten mostly kibble, which is high heat cooked, all of his life as a sports dog. It was convenient for sure. I wanted something more for him and because I work for an animal hospital I was introduced to Just Food for Dogs. About 2 years ago I switched him to the slow cooked, human grade food. He now has the most incredible coat, has maintained his weight and is very healthy. No one believes he is 12+. There’s multiple ways to feed JFFD. Yes it takes some time to devide the 72oz blocks into individual meals and freeze it. But I like that I have control in how much I’m feeding. A little more when he’s working and a little less when he’s enjoying his time off. But there is also shelf stable food in smaller packaging that’s so convenient. The staff at the Lake Forest store are so knowledgeable especially Cienna. He loves going to the store to see her.

  I appreciate the knowledge of the team at this location. I will not purchase the dog food at grocery stores or other pet stores. They have a file and know what I've purchased, its a big help. They will also return unopened food if my dog won't eat it and I need make a change to another flavor profile. I highly recommend shopping at the location.

  I think Jess, who might run this store, is the best employee ever. Friendly, knowledgeable, helpful --if I had a dog food store I'd hire her in an instant. I bought because of her, and will come back because of her. More than recommended -A+++
