- HMHeidie Malnassy4 days ago1.0We have taken our lab mix to this location a number of times in the past when Dayna used to work there. She was amazing with him. Unfortunately we’ve tried other groomers there a few times, and their customer service and current grooming staff have been disappointing. Recently we scheduled an appointment and they changed the time without even calling us to ask us if that was ok. I called to check, and she said “oh yeah, I changed it, but you can come in at the other time still if you want”. Then when we came in for our actual appointment we were turned away due to my dog being on a specific allergy medication. The person I was talking to said it causes drowsiness, nausea, and diarrhea. Without even asking me how long he’s been taking it, or if he’s actually experiencing any of these issues. Which he’s not. She said something along the lines of “and we don’t deal with that, so you’d have to bring him back in 24 hours”. Huh? So you can’t bathe my dog, because he might shit or fall asleep in the tub or on the table? It made no sense. Also, I had my autistic daughter there with me, pulling me in every direction, so scheduling a visit to the groomers is a much bigger deal than it may be for some if you’re the primary caretaker of a kid with special needs that has to be with you. Lastly, they act like they could care less about working with animals, like if you want them to acknowledge your dog upon arrival to make them feel comfortable being in an unfamiliar place, forget it. Petco, do better.

And I had to always use the same groomer. So with that being said, I have been taking Bailey to see Sydney each time and I have no complaints! Sydney is great with Bailey and has her cute and smelling good after each and every groom. Bailey feels comfortable with her and that means a lot when you’re leaving your pet in the care of someone else!
