DO NOT BUY THE BANFIELD WELLNESS PLAN!!! This review has nothing to do with the doctors or veterinary care at this location. I was upsold Banfield’s “Optimum Wellness Plan” when checking out/making payment during a routine wellness visit in May 2024. I never received a contract to review, they just added it to my invoice. I paid $76/month for a year and then $80/month for 4 months (after a bogus auto-renewal). My dog was euthanized at Banfield in September 2025 after being diagnosed with cancer 3 months prior. Banfield WILL NOT CANCEL the Wellness Plan!! They are forcing me to make EIGHT (8) more monthly payments of $80 for a wellness benefit, AFTER MY DOG DIED!!! I tried to call and convince them, but they are adamant. I paid that monthly fee for 18 months and barely used the benefits!! WHAT KIND OF COMPANY MAKES YOU PAY FOR PET BENEFITS AFTER YOUR PET DIES?!?!? Please, look at the complaints at the Better Business Bureau website. Look at the online complaints. DO NOT BUY AND MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE AS ME!!

Deeply Disappointed in This Location
This has consistently been the most disappointing location I’ve ever visited. Staff are often rude or simply do not answer the phone, and despite raising these concerns with two store managers and a district manager over the past year, nothing has improved.
After four years of loyal business, I’ve decided to go elsewhere—somewhere that genuinely values both their customers and their pets. Unfortunately, this location continues to fall far short of the professionalism and care I’ve experienced at other branches, such as those in Arizona or the western suburbs.

This is for the evanstan Location only- has been the worst experience I have ever experienced as a pet owner. The front desk staff is very unprofessional and not knowledgeable about animals , products and services! They couldn’t even assist me with home delivery to order my dogs Heart-worm/flea and tick prevention. Instead and helping my check out they told me to go home because its below his pay grade. All because he did not know how waiver something off my bill customer service told them how to do it! Very disappointing and frustrating. Poor customer service skills at it’s worst! So bad that i rather take a drive to another banfield hospital.

Your monthly payments can be automatically withdrawn from a checking or savings account or charged to a credit card so that you don’t have to worry about them once you enroll. We also offer the option of paying in full if you prefer.
What kind of appointment do I have?
• In-room appointments: You and your pet visit the vet together. Please arrive a few minutes before your appointment time
• Drop-off appointments: If you have a drop-off appointment, we will communicate a time to drop off your pet. Keep your phone nearby and we’ll call you when your pet is ready for pickup.
