Everyone that pays for Banfield pet plans, I would steer completely clear of this specific hospital. When I first moved to IL I scheduled an appt for the one closest to my area which happened to be this one, they proceeded to give my dog multiple unnecessary vaccines which she had already gotten and had proof of that. The people there and DR completely ignored the person who I had take my dog there for the appointment. After bringing this up and complaining to the corporate office nothing was done. Simply put this specific hospital does not care about the welfare of your animal(s). Nothing was done about their clearly reckless behavior. I now drive 2 whole hours completely out of my way to another Banfield so I don’t have to go to this one. Please do NOT bring your animals to this one, this one should honestly be shut down. I recently made a complaint to the State veterinarian medical Association. Hopefully they get investigated and their egos are checked.

Although the techs and front desk staff were pretty good, I will say I think the care we got from the vets themselves was horrible, and I feel like they just try to scam you with the whole monthly plan. My wife and I welcomed our dog Zander a few years ago into our family at 9 weeks old. We took him there and got on their puppy plan which did cover everything including getting him neutered. I was paying 80 bucks a month, which in turn you over pay way more than necessary for shots. We also still had to pay a lot with the one emergency office visit we had so it was pointless. I save so much money compared to that taking him elsewhere. We also tried the farmers dog for him which ended up not working out and wasn’t the best for him anyway, but when I told them I fed him that they acted like they knew nothing about that diet and didn’t really care to give me much information about it. Shouldn’t they know those kinds of things? They also just made us feel like we weee a total burden every time we took him or had any questions at all. Even acted disgusted with our puppy for jumping on them because he loves people. Toward the end of the puppy plan they asked me if I wanted to renew to the adult plan because he was turning one and I declined because of the scam I caught onto paying nearly 100 bucks a month when I could pay 200 for his shots anywhere else for the whole year, they continued to charge be after he was one even after several phone calls of telling them I canceled it. Now I am in collections that I will not ever pay because they wanted to continue to charge me for the puppy plan when he was a full adult. We won’t be coming here again and are so much happier with the vet we have now.

I've used Banfield for three dogs over 15 years now. They are reliable, the puppy plan helps alleviate any concerns and is adorable. The people are great and friendly. The recommendations take into consideration budget and doesn't just go to the upsell but rather what fits My family. Staff is knowledgeable. My only complaint is when I go to cancel it is hard to get it into the system right I had to call 3-4 times to do it right.
