I ordered a new brand of dog food for my dog. It arrived in a couple days. He tried it and liked it so I ordered more and this time it took 7 days to arrive. In the meantime I had to find some elsewhere. When you try and contact customer service it’s almost impossible to get a live person on the phone. It took literally 20 minutes to navigate the automated system. I’ve been a Petco customer for a long long time. After this I’ll never spend another penny with Petco. Pet smart and Chewy here I come. Shame on these companies and their out sourced customer service

I understand that bettas are often kept in small cups in pet stores, and while that may be common practice, it still doesn’t make it okay. These conditions require very strict care to prevent harm, and that care is often not being met. In this store, the bettas were severely overfed with food that doesn’t meet their nutritional needs. I’ve been to this store many times, but this time they had food piled on the bottom and top.Excess food quickly breaks down and causes ammonia spikes, which are extremely toxic and can kill a betta in a short amount of time—especially in such small volumes of water. Proper betta care includes clean water, controlled feeding, and appropriate temperatures (around 76–80°F). When these basics aren’t followed, fish suffer. I’ve seen bettas with visible illness such as dropsy, and even dead fish left in cups. In-fact, today I saw a betta that was quite literally rotting. That isn’t just unfortunate—it’s preventable. If a store cannot meet the basic care requirements for the animals they sell, they should not be overordering them. Bettas are living animals, not disposable products
