Brought in a cat, that has been meowing outside my condo for at least a month. Immediately as I got there I got push back with her saying right away "well he's not breathing heavily rn" hearing that a few times. Every time my response being that when I got him into my place. He wasnt panting at first. But when left alone, continued to pants heavily. As I expressed my concern and aggrevation of the possible owners who left the cat out after a move, the overnight front Desk person continued to be dismissive and cold on the knowledge they gave to me. From the beginning I felt like I was treated coldly and like I did something wrong, even asking if I did sensing her shortness and aggrevation with the situation. Clearly affected by personal bias out of my aggrevation of the mistreatment of the cat (with me believing they were left behind by a previous owner) due to a past they had of cats they never fed that lived under their house for multiple years and were perfectly fine. Understanding that there are a lot of different possible scenarios I was pretty confident that the was the story and at least the cat needed to be cared for. I am not very knowledgeable on the laws and regulations of strays so I was sure to ask the questions I felt necessary to obtain what I needed to know to feel like the cat was going to be cared for properly. Although very knowledgeable she seemed very passionate about the fact that "because of what she learned from childhood in the state she was born in" stray cats should be left alone. Asking a few more questions due to personal intrigue and to help as much as possible moving forward, she continued to tell me she needs to keep an open mind of all the possibilities to rid of bias. Then continuing to say she had to keep an open mind about humans just as much so she could deal with the ones she didn't want to. Understanding she was talking about me I ended the conversation abruptly and carried on my way. I am very appreciative of the knowledge Catherine gave to me but if going to be working customer service clearly needs to learn to keep bias out of how she represents herself and her company when working at a business.

We took our 19 year old cat, Jada, in on 4/12, knowing we were going in to say goodbye. I cannot say enough about the quality of care we received. In particular, Dr. Mulholland was so incredibly compassionate. She sat with us while we shared stories about Jada with her, and her kindness helped us through an extremely difficult time. She explained everything thoroughly and reassured us through the entire process. This is not the first time I've been through this as a cat mom, but this experience will stick out for me due to Dr. Mulholland. She is a wonderful human being whose compassion and caring shines. Thank you for helping us through a difficult time.

This facility and their team members are absolutely incredible. They have been doing everything they can to work with us to help save our Trixie. Our new pup has been in ICU fighting for her life going on 72 hours now and really improving thanks to their care and great efforts. Financially it has been beyond overwhelming. However, they have been willing to work with the resources we can muster and keep our limits in mind to offer Trixie the best care they can.
We are really hopeful our Trixie baby can fully recover soon and get her well enough to come home. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

My Scottish Terrier was very ill and I brought her to Companion on the recommendation of our regular vet. The staff was very kind and kept me informed as to how long it would be before we could see the vet. The vet gave me a detailed estimate of what his recommendations would be for treatment and what was a must, a suggestion, or optional. My dog was very comfortable with the staff and the facility. I found the charges to be slightly higher than our regular vet, which I was pleasantly surprised by, as I was expecting an emergency hospital to charge much more. The office was very clean, the waiting area is designed very well to keep pets separated, and they had a nice coffee/water bar area. I would highly recommend Companion.

Brought my cat in on Friday night because his behavior changed very quickly with some type of eye infection - if you know anything about cats, things like this can go downhill very fast - I wasn’t going to wait three days to see my vet for his sake. Turns out, our visit was useless as no antibiotic was given, just a supplement and an eye gel that is very difficult to give to a stressed and sick cat. I trusted the vet’s decision to skip on an antibiotic but by Monday he was much worse. Thankfully our regular vet has handled everything and Percy is slowly getting better, but those three days he could have already been healing.
I understand this is a difficult industry to work in, and emergency clinics are often the most stressful for employees. I just wanted to make sure my cat was going to be okay, but it felt like nobody wanted to deal with me because I couldn’t get into a vet until Monday. I have worked in the pet industry for years now, so I also understand being cautious around new animals - especially sick ones - but my cat was handled like a snake that was about to strike. For any animals coming to this facility, I recommend visiting elsewhere for the sake of their health and comfort.
