  They have EXPIRED products for pets from TWO years ago. Store is also unclean and unkept for such a small store in atleast the past 5 yrs. I have went there for emergency items only for my pet. If you DO buy from here any pet food or medicine, check the date.

  ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Five-Star Review Above and Beyond the rest!!! Petco at 3046 N. Halsted in Chicago is, without question, the best pet store I have ever been to. No matter where I have lived in the city, this is the one location I trust and the one I keep coming back to. In a world built around convenience, this store reminds you how much real service, real care, and real relationships still matter. What makes this location so special begins with the leadership of Mark. Great teams do not happen by accident, and the tone of this store clearly starts with him. Mark is an extremely impressive leader whose positive, solutions-oriented, and people-centered attitude carries through the entire team. He knows how to connect with customers, resolve problems, and create the kind of experience that turns someone into a customer for life. Under his leadership, this Petco feels welcoming, trustworthy, and personal in a way that is increasingly rare. I also want to recognize Jose, Davi, and Lillian, because each of them is incredible in their own right. Jose is warm, professional, and genuinely caring. He makes customers feel respected, comfortable, and truly taken care of. Jose will go out of his way to do something for the customer even if it’s a month later or a few days later, you will set it aside in the back. Jose you are a phenomenal person! Davi brings such sincere positive energy and goes above and beyond in a way that you can immediately feel. His care for both people and pets is real. Lillian is compassionate, attentive, and kind, and she helps create the kind of experience that makes people want to come back again and again. Together, this team is extraordinary. They are not just there for the customer, but for the customer’s pets as well. They build real relationships, they are always helpful, and they consistently go above and beyond. Whether it is vaccinations, grooming, nail trimming, or simply helping you find what you need, they offer every service you could want under one roof and deliver it with heart. Even if something is out of stock, they do their best to help solve the problem and take care of the customer. As much as we all appreciate the convenience of Amazon, Amazon cannot build trust or relationships the way this team does. If you have a pet and live in Lakeview, I would not go to any other pet supply store. ****** “To Petco senior leadership, please document this recognition in the employee files of Mark, Jose, Davi, and Lillian. These people are keepers. They are the face of Petco at its best, and they deserve to have this acknowledgment follow them as they grow in their careers and in their lives.” If you have not visited this location, make it a point to do so. This store is special, this team is special, and I will not go anywhere else.

  The store feels a bit depressing, not sure it's because of the various pets for sale in tight enclosures, dim lighting, smell, cramped aisles - most likely a combination. Staff is friendly, I'm usually in and out quickly. Cat scratch-pads are cheaper at Marshall's across the street, interestingly enough.

  Good store. Staff can be hit or miss. Sometimes they're friendly, sometimes they seem cold and apathetic, but that's not a big deal because the product selection is great, and things are quick.

  Friendly & knowledgeable staff!! Also, this location was very well stocked. There were no empty sections on the shelves where stock was supposed to be & no stacks of stock blocking the narrow aisles!!
