    I spent more than 20 minutes in the store going up and down aisles and I eventually had to ask for assistance and he didn't know a lot about bunnies. It was disappointing.

    I usually don't shop at Petco, but I was in an emergency and needed a bootie that wouldn't come off my pup's paws because he cut his paw pad. A lot was going on Saturday morning at the store, and the gentleman who helped me could tell I couldn't find what I was looking for. He helped me right away after circling the store. And the recommendation he gave worked perfectly! I didn't get his name, but kudos to the gentleman behind the register for helping my Aries!

    Today, January 25th at around 4PM, my friend and I visited this pet store and had a very unpleasant experience at the checkout. While paying, my friend realized he forgot to grab a cat shampoo and went back to get it. I stayed at the register wearing headphones and didn’t hear the cashier’s question clearly the first time. She asked something about a mobile phone and I assumed she meant the phone number for the rewards program, so I said that he had already put it. In response, the cashier rolled her eyes, stared at me in a very rude and uncomfortable way for several seconds, and said “never mind” in a dismissive tone. Couple minutes after another cashier asked her what was going on and she said— RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME — that he “went to get shampoo” and that WE DONT SPEAK ENGLISH. I was absolutely shocked and offended that she would say this in my presence. I immediately responded her that “We do speak English. I can understand what you are saying.” Her reply was a sarcastic “Oh, yeah?” This behavior was extremely unprofessional, disrespectful, and frankly discriminatory. Even though she is Hispanic. Instead of basic politeness and customer service, we were met with mockery, rudeness and prejudice. Employees should never make assumptions about customers or speak about them like they aren’t there. I don’t see how that can be unclear. Because of this experience, we will never come back to this store. It was completely ruined by the cashier’s hostile and mocking attitude. Management should seriously consider better training their staff in customer service, professionalism and basic human decency.
