There are truly no words big enough to express our gratitude for Dr. Kaylynn Lam and her incredible team at Bond Vet in the West Loop.
On Friday evening, our 13 year old dog suddenly had brown green discharge from her vulva. We had no idea what was happening and we were terrified. I immediately started calling multiple animal hospitals but no one had availability. Most places were closing or already closed. Bond Vet was the only clinic that answered and told us to bring her in right away, even though they were about to close at 8pm.
They fit our dog in immediately for an exam and after evaluation we were told she had pyometra and needed emergency surgery. Hearing those words was devastating. We were given a quote and advised to go to an emergency hospital for surgery. I broke down in tears knowing we could not afford the cost of an emergency facility.
Dr. Lam gave us time to process everything. When she stepped out of the room and returned, she brought us the best news we could have hoped for. She and her team were willing to stay and perform the surgery themselves at a more reasonable cost.
After getting approved for CareCredit, Dr. Lam and her entire team stayed at the clinic well past closing, until after midnight, performing life saving surgery and closely monitoring our dog. They did not rush us. They did not treat us like just another appointment. They treated our baby like family.
I cried so many times that night from fear, from relief, and from overwhelming gratitude.
Dr. Lam successfully removed the infection and uterus and saved our dog’s life. Because of her skill, compassion, and dedication, we were able to bring our baby home healthy.
Not only did they provide exceptional medical care, they showed humanity, empathy, and heart. That kind of care means everything when you are facing a crisis with someone you love.
We are forever grateful to Dr. Kaylynn Lam and the entire Bond Vet West Loop team for giving our baby a second chance at life.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. ❤️💐

Very clean and well kept, we walked right in and were seen! Such an amazing visit. They loved my baby from the moment we walked in until we left. I will absolutely be back!

I was switching vets and decided to give these people a go. And boy am I glad I did!!! All the other places I attempted to get an appointment with was extremely difficult but I found this place to be flexible with their schedule and availability. How refreshing. I’ve had nothing but positive vibes from this place. From the moment you walk in you are greeted promptly. The staff is extremely helpful kind and caring. Dr Burke is very patient and she listens. She’s just simply the best!!! I highly recommend this establishment. I cannot say enough about them. I have no complaints. If I had to make one ☝️ comment I wish I would get a live person on the phone 📞 whenever I call however I’ understand this method frees up time. They’ve been so wonderful and the easily adaptable to my needs and I can easily switch appointments without any issues. So overall great staff, the veterinarians are knowledgeable and helpful. Prices are comparable to other places in the area. I’m going to recommend you bring your fur babies straight over here!!!

We came here with our kitten named shadow. We was told that he had an upper respiratory infection and that it was just a common cold and he would be fine. That there were no need to worry about imminent danger to his life. We were given medicine and took him home. And now I sit here today at an emergency room with my kitten put down on my birthday. So I thank you guys so much for your incompetence and I would never be coming here with a pet again. I would not recommend you take your pet here. Go somewhere where they know what they are talking about for the sake of your pets or fur family because shadow or any pet is family. Do what’s best for your family…
