Today, when I called to get a prescription refilled for my dog's seizure medication, the receptionist was rude. She did not understand what medication my dog is currently taking, even when I kept explaining and even though it is in his records. I finally convinced her that I knew what I was talking about. They no longer carry the medication so I was told that they needed to call it into a Pharmacy. Then they charged me 5$ to call in the prescription. They emailed me later that day and told me that they will only fill it for 2 months because my dog hasn't had blood work done for a year. He was in for a full exam in June (4 months ago). His medication is for his seizures. I responded and asked why he needs blood work done for seizure medication, but I have not received a response. I have been taking all of my animals to this veterinary clinic for over 5 years, but it is not what it used to be. They used to care, communicate, and know what they were doing. I do not think I can trust them anymore.

Having said that, the last couple months have been hard. A month ago we (my mom) had our dog cremated. The cremation was botched (I don’t necessarily blame cedar ridge for this since my understanding is they don’t do it) and it took weeks for us to get his ashes. They told us they would call and never did. Today we took our dog in to get a tooth pulled. They told us it would be 2 or 3 teeth and ended up pulling 8! We never authorized for 8 teeth to be pulled, especially because of the cost. They said it would have needed to happen eventually, but the cost of 2-3 teeth being pulled compared to 8 teeth was a huge hit for us. The other teeth could have been pulled at a later time, even if it was next month after another payday. They then proceeded to not call either my husband or I, we had to reach out to them asking if he was ready. I would like to again mention that we have come here for years and haven’t had issues, it has only been the last month.
- KHKassi HunterAug 18, 20255.0The Vet that we saw was absolutely incredible, we forgot to get her name but she went Above and Beyond for us after we had a tramatic experience with one of our babies and was treated horribly by the vet we had the emergency with. She took extra time out of her schedule to comfort us and explained what the medications were for and even said 1 wasnt necessary, as the previous vet just threw them in a bag and told us to read the labels and figure it out. The energy and atmosphere in the office was so warm and welcoming to both our baby and us. Thank you
