  I have been taking my Yorkie to this grooming salon for several years. When it was previously owned by a husband and wife team, the experience was wonderful. My dog always seemed happy and comfortable, and the environment felt warm and family-oriented. About a year ago, ownership changed, and over time I began noticing changes — both in the atmosphere and in my dog’s behavior. My Yorkie tends to shake in general, but my husband and sons pointed out that her shaking when entering the salon felt different and more pronounced. I initially brushed it off, but looking back, I believe there was a noticeable shift. My dog has severe eczema and sensitive skin. Since the new ownership took over, prices for a basic groom and trim have increased significantly (now $105), and many previously standard services are now additional charges. When I asked about sensitive-skin shampoo options, I was told to bring my own. Given the pricing, I would expect a professional grooming salon to offer options for dogs with skin sensitivities. Another concern was pricing transparency. The prices displayed on the wall did not match what I was being charged. When I inquired, I was told the posted pricing was outdated and needed to be removed — yet it remained displayed. I was also informed that certain services must be specifically requested or they would not be included, even though they appeared to be part of the listed package. While the staff has remained polite and friendly, the overall feel has shifted from a welcoming, family-style business to a very transactional, contract-based experience. After much hesitation — as I am typically a very loyal customer — I decided to switch to a local mobile groomer who has been highly rated in the Treasure Valley for over 30 years. I now pay essentially the same price for full services, and complimentary touches (like balm for my dog’s nose) are included without extra fees. Most importantly, my dog’s reaction has been completely different. When the mobile groomer was he finished, she didn’t even want to leave his arms — something I have never seen before. That alone confirmed for me that I made the right decision. Based on my experience since the change in ownership, I can no longer recommend this salon. On a sidenote, the female groomer that trimmed My dogs hair did a great job with the trim and haircut, but this alone was not enough for me to continue as a customer.

  Tried this place a couple times. Gave my dog vet prescribed Trazodone 100 mg. The first cut they said they couldn't trim his nails he was too stressed. 2 cuts later still no nail trim, one front paw untrimmed and an extra charge for "difficult dog". OK, no problem, until I got there today and there was a huge white dog in front of us so I waited outside while my dog could relax and poop. Go back inside and I'm told oh you're 12 minutes late so we need to apply an extra late fee! Was your desire to add an unjustified late fee worth losing a good paying customer? Don't care because you have a large client base? All I know is I won't be back, you're behavior was unacceptable and unreasonable. You cleared up nothing. Your response for all to see makes clear that you're as immature and unreasonable as my original post stated. Blame the customer it cant be you, goodness no! So many have been warned now you just validated my review and my experience with you.

  Staff was so kind to my Leo! We wanted to go to place that will know who my dog is and treat him kindly (not like other places). See the difference they made! ☺️ ⬇️

  We love the Royal Spaw! Each grooming is consistent and wonderful! I love that my pup leaves with the cutest bandanas or accessories too! Can’t recommend them enough!
