I had a very disappointing experience at this clinic and feel compelled to share my concerns. I understand that my dog is young and energetic; however, the manner in which the staff handled the visit significantly escalated what could have been a manageable situation. To begin, I arrived approximately 15 minutes early for my appointment but waited in line for nearly 30 minutes to check in, during which time I was attempting to keep my dog calm. During the check-in process, the staff member did not appear to take adequate care in confirming my dog’s weight—an important factor when administering vaccinations or medications. Additionally, there was no explanation of the services being provided, associated costs, or vaccinations prior to directing us to the waiting area. Once we were taken to the examination area, neither the veterinarian nor the assistant conducted the wellness evaluation that I had paid for, yet it was later marked as completed in my dog’s medical records. Vaccinations were administered without any apparent assessment of my dog beforehand, which was concerning. In an effort to make the visit smoother, I brought my dog’s favorite treat, peanut butter, to help keep him calm and provide positive reinforcement. While the staff indicated they were allergic to peanut butter, which I understood and immediately attempted to put it away, the situation escalated when staff used their own peanut butter on a stick and accidentally poked my dog in the eye. This understandably caused my dog to panic and led to significant distress. Rather than de-escalating the situation, additional staff were called in, and one staff member held my dog down on the ground. This approach only heightened his anxiety and worsened the overall situation. By this point, I was extremely uncomfortable and eager to leave. As we exited the clinic, my dog still had peanut butter on his fur and in his eye. No apology was offered, nor was any assistance provided to help clean him up. The lack of acknowledgement or concern at the conclusion of the visit was especially disappointing. Overall, this experience left both my dog and me distressed. I hope the clinic takes this feedback seriously and considers improvements in communication, handling practices, and customer care.

Mocha got her 3 year rabies shot which I wanted. They kept her quiet and relaxed. But I didn't get the summaries I want to keep in my files on my phone.
