Im disgusted and appalled by the lack of care for their live animals in this store. I understand these animals will sell quickly, however, they do not deserve to live in conditions of stress with unsuitable environments. Today, I walked in, and saw two gerbils. The cage was riddled with faeces, and the wheel was so small the gerbil could barely even fit. The whole time, I noticed the gerbil displaying signs of stress like bar climbing or relentlessly pacing. Too small of a wheel can cause issues like lifelong back problems and pain. These gerbils had zero enrichment—not even forage or a forage toy. I do not support this animal cruelty- it’s just unkind and sad. Do not support this business.
