Partner took a stray cat that we'd been looking after to this vets. Told us he was healthy, apart from a slight eye infection. Couldn't contact the owners on the chip, partner said he'd take the cat home if nobody was going to collect him. They instantly became defensive and refused to hand the cat back to my partner, stating that he now needed treatment which wasn't initially mentioned? Then told my partner that if nobody collected him he would be put to sleep! My partner found this extremely upsetting and became distressed, to which the 'vet' (who was sat as a receptionist when he entered the building may I add), started shouting and accusing my partner of threatening her. They would not hand the cat back over despite him being malnourished and clearly neglected. I phoned up to reiterate that I'd pay for the cats treatment if the owners (who had now been contacted) did not wish to care for him anymore. The receptionist was more interested in talking about my partner than the cat for some reason? Refused to hand over my message to the owners, told me conflicting lies regarding the condition of the cat and insinuated that because my partner became upset and couldn't come back, this was why we wouldn't be contacted - despite telling him another story, that it was the 'law' that they couldn't hand the cat over to us. Understandable but to then not even provide ME with an update on an animal I'd cared for seemed very manipulative and unreasonable. I hope they've done the right thing and not put an animal down when somebody has offered to pay for his treatment but by the lies they were spinning on the phone I wouldn't be surprised if this was the outcome for the poor cat sadly. Avoid this place at all costs, especially if you've been looking after a stray, because they would rather put it to sleep than allow somebody to care for it. Vile.

YourVets Nuneaton. Always such gentle and loving people with all our pets.
Recently we had to say our final goodbye to our cat Ginger. He had been diagnosed with Hyperthyroidism a few years earlier and had proceedures there too where he was treated like an old friend and loved going to the vets.
When his time came, they all stayed later. Gave us all the advice and time to make our decision. Made him happy and comfortable eating his snacks as he went to sleep.
Such a gentle and peaceful time. We were given space and support throughout this time and even wrapped him in a soft blanket.
I wish I could remember the ladies name as she was so good with him and us.
