Today me and my family received the devastating news that our cat had been handed in who has sadly passed away. Melbourne vets broke the news to us in the most professional way and with so much respect and compassion and that’s made or terrible experience so much easier and this is a review to thank you for you professionalism and gratitude towards us all and thank you for letting us be able to say goodbye in such a pleasant and loving environment we really appreciate it. RIP Bella ❤️

Been a customer for years and tried to rip me off with conflicting operation prices a few years ago. ( massively inflated on the day, but did agree to honour the price thy gave a week prior 🙄), but this time it’s too far:
The close at 1300 on Saturday, we called at 1210 with our cat in distress. They advised out of hours. ( we live 3 minutes away)
Out of hours phone lines were closed, probably due to not being out of hours; so we called Melbourne back immediately but despite repeated attempts there was no answer.
Our cat, Franco, died

Amazing experience at Melbourne Vets - my dog accidentally ate a whole bar of chocolate this morning. When I phoned explaining the situation, their service was so friendly, understanding, and efficient. Upon arrival, everyone was so welcoming to myself and Arlo - we felt as though we had been patients forever! He is usually quite dramatic at the vets but I wasn’t to worry here. They quickly treated Arlo and within an hour we were back home resting. I felt as though their prices perfectly reflected the treatment and medication he was sent home with. Thank you so much! We will be returning from now on as our go-to vets.

Absolutely appalled at the service provided, agreed they got us I'm quite quick to see our sick dog but were just all about the money. He detoraited after seeing the vet and upon calling back 2 days later for him to be seen again was not made aware of a repeat consultation fee and was just told that needed to see him urgently. Took him up and the vet could clearly see he was poorly but was more concerned about the amount of money to be made but couldn't offer a payment plan. Told us the best thing to do was take him to pdsa which thinking about it we should have done in the first place as maybe our beloved bailey would still be here. Upon driving to take our bailey to the pdsa they rang and were chasing the repeat consultation fee because we hadn't paid as we weren't aware. After the pdsa had seen bailey and at least tried to give us as a family abit of hope that he would survive she told us that he had had the pneumonia for a few days. Why didn't melbourne pick up on this? Now they are chasing for an outstanding repeat consultation fee and outstanding medicine which we haven't picked up because he no longer needs. Appalling service which has left us a family distraught from losing our loving frenchie bailey.
